Generative AI is forcing business schools to rethink their pedagogy and curriculum. The rise of Gen AI seems like an inflection point with an unprecedented pace of change for all the stakeholders- teachers, students, and recruiters alike. This paper defines a Learner-Teacher-Learning Continuum, which is under stress due to the stark difference in the competence of teachers around AI as compared to that of students. The author develops a Causal Loop Diagram based on 15 in-depth interviews of business school instructors in India. There are four reinforcing and one balancing loop in the CLD. R1 highlights AI-Enhanced Learning based on pedagogical adaptability and Teacher-AI integration; R2 focuses on feedback-based growth of learning on the basis of students possessing agency that drives learning outcomes; R3 posits adoption of AI due to institutional pressures of ranking and accreditations, and R4 emphasises Digital Literacy Ecosystem through Edtech investments and Teacher-AI integration. The balancing loop B1 depicts that if the Teacher-AI integration is low, it will lead to diminished pedagogical adaptability that eventually will lead to an outdated curriculum and thus, diminished learning outcomes. The paper then discusses the leverage points based on each loop of the CLD to improve the LTL continuum for business schools.
